Since posting on my blog. Life has a nasty habit of getting in the away. Still fighting the big C, I am still here, so I am winning I guess.
Thankfully, I am over my long stitching slump. Just finished Irish Blessing & nearly done with my current project. With a bit of luck I can get them both off to the framer next week.
I do love a new start. No compulsion to tackle the UFO/WIP's as yet.

Let's see if I can keep up with my blog this year. Can you believe another year has begun. I am keeping resonably well, fingers crossed. Still stitching, but having a little break at the moment. I have discovered my knitting needles again. Just have the 2 fronts to do on a Cardigan for Liz.
I will then take turns between stitching and knitting I think. Knit a shawl & a scarf for myself as well.

After falling by the wayside last time I joined, my Dr has referred me back. Given my Medical history its hard for me to see the benefits of dieting. BUT..my mobility is so badly affected now, I figure it will be for my own benefit to lose weight. So here I am with lots of positive thoughts and determination. Wish me well. I have taken a before pic, but until you can see the difference I am keeping it under wraps! lol

Look what I received in the mail today. A beautiful Friendship Quilt stitched by the Ladies at 123. I am overwelmed that so many stitcher's have me in their thoughts and prayers. My life went to He** in a hand basket in Febuary. I have now dusted myself off & trying hard to get back to some sort of normal living. My last CT scan showed that my Lung Cancer was back.. 3 years post op.. Nothing more to be done, so I am just getting on with things. The one good thing is, its a slow growing type, so my Oncologist "Thinks" I should be reasonably well till the end of the year. Plenty more Stitching time to be had then eh!

I have been keeping up with my projects, still stitching The Four Seasons Marolein Bastin & Cirque des Cercles with Wildflowers thread. I will take some pics soon & show my progress.

I looked after Sam yesterday, what a live wire he is. He has just discovered there is life beyond the floor. He like to pull himself up using your trousers or ought else thats handy! lol Here he is, can't miss a photo op.

Stitched a couple of nights on this one. I started it in 2006, just hoping I have enough floss to complete the design. Fingers crossed.

How to combat emotional eating? I am a tad stressed at the moment, so what do I turn to...Yep, you got it FOOD. No damage done so far, hit the fruit instead! I have my CT scan coming round again on Tuesday. How I hate the waiting. I will take myself to bed now, out of harms way. Send me lots of those positive vibes.

I have lost another 3lbs. Whoppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeee. Not bad considering I went out for a 3 course meal. I was very lucky to get away with that, lets hope it dosn't show next week!
Had a good week stitching wise. Finished a Mailart & a Hardhanger Biscornu. Pics to follow, as they are for an exchange.
Not long to go before the Crafty Natter stitching get to gether, I am so looking forward to meeting all the Gals. Just imagine a whole day of stitching chatter!!

I am over the moon, lost 12lbs this week. Now whilst I know this will NOT happen every week, its still a very good start! This was done following the WW programe. Its given me such a boost to carry on. Whooo Hooooooooo

I've put this one away to stitch on PV's Good Neighbours. I enjoyed stitching on this one.

Now Good Neighbours is another matter, lots of 1/4 stitches and back stitching! The chart is Card & opens up to revel 4 pages, not easy to work with. I fancy it will be in bits before its finished. lol

I am going to take control of my weight in 2009. I have been a serial Yo Yo dieter for years. Now weigh more than ever before. WW meetings are too expensive for me, but I do well on thier weight loss plan, soooo my Sister is going to join me & together we will win! 2 years ago we did really well, Liz lost 5 stone & I lost 4.5 stone.. Sadly we both fell off the wagon & are suffering for it. So wish me well. I have taken a before pic, but its so awful I am not going to post it till I have lost a stone or two. Fo health reasons I really need to make it this time. I am looking at 50lbs loss for my first goal. Then I will go for the next 50lbs. As you can see I have a daunting task ahead. Wish me luck.

Its nearly time to start a new year, so I decided to get blogging. Its a great way to keep up with my stitching projects. I have just started a New design & pulled a couple of UFO's from their hiding place. I am stitching on Marjolein Bastins The Four Seasons. My intention was to start a Rotation, but I want to keep on with this one for a bit longer. I will take a progress pic later.
Also found PV's Good Neighbours, another large design, I will have a go at this one next week.
